Nominations Now Open for the 2027 Celebration of Healthcare Heroes
Seven award categories recognize outstanding contributions to healthcare in the UAE while
inspiring the next generation.
WALDWICK, NJ / DUBAI, UAE — [October 22, 2026] — The Kallman Foundation is now accepting nominations for the 2027 Celebration of Healthcare Heroes, recognizing individuals, teams, and organizations making a meaningful difference in healthcare in the United Arab Emirates.
Taking place on January 25, 2027, beneath the iconic Al Wasl Plaza dome at Expo City Dubai during World Health Expo (WHX) Dubai, the celebration will bring healthcare role models together with students, industry leaders, and community partners to recognize outstanding contributions and inspire future careers in healthcare, medicine, and science.
The 2026 celebration honored individuals and institutions whose contributions spanned clinical innovation, patient care, advocacy, education, and healthcare leadership. Presented by Kallman Worldwide and American Hospital Dubai, the evening also welcomed students from across the UAE, placing the human stories behind healthcare achievements at the center of the experience.
“Every healthcare breakthrough has a human story behind it—someone who refused to give up, found a better way, or committed their life to helping others,” said Tom Kallman, President and CEO of Kallman Worldwide. “By bringing those stories directly to students, we hope to help a young person look at one of our honorees and think, ‘Maybe I could do that, too.’ That is why we celebrate our Healthcare Heroes, and why we are asking the community to help us find them. ”
Seven categories for 2027
Nominations are invited across seven finalized award categories:
• Medical Innovation Award
• Community & Humanitarian Impact Award
• Collaborative Care Award
• Healthcare Change-Maker Award
• Excellence in Research Award
• Perseverance in Healthcare Award
• Excellence in Crisis Response Award
The awards spotlight people and organizations making an impact today, with stories that can captivate and motivate young people considering their futures.
Nominees should be making a meaningful contribution to healthcare in the UAE and be available to accept recognition in person on January 25, 2027. Honorees will also be asked to participate in a one-hour student webinar or mentoring session within three months of the celebration, extending their engagement with the next generation beyond the evening itself.
“Our 2026 honorees helped establish what this celebration stands for: compassion, courage,
innovation, and service,” Kallman added. “We look forward to discovering more remarkable stories in 2027 and giving more students the opportunity to see where their own talents and determination might lead. ”
